Keeping Connected to Better Serve You

Constantly working to improve the way we serve our clients means staying up-to-date with the latest news, methods and research. Our ongoing efforts to gain insight and greater understanding, and share that knowledge with our clients, is another way we stay connected to your needs.

In this section we will also be providing tips and information to improve our clients’ quality of day-to-day life.

About Us

At CareAssist Services, caring begins with connecting.

Decades of caring for patients through home care, long-term care and acute care taught Janis Adams, RN, that taking care of people was about much more than filling prescriptions and making beds. She found that providing care that nurtured independence and truly improved quality of life takes trust and personal attention. With these qualities in mind, she founded CareAssist Services. Her vision was to create a professional home care company that would provide the highest quality care and assistance to older adults in their home, wherever that may be.

Based in Southern California, CareAssist Services is dedicated to providing high quality, personalized in-home care to adults and seniors who are physically, developmentally and cognitively challenged. We provide quality home care aides. Every member of the CareAssist team is committed to treating clients from all cultures, religions, ethnicities, sexual orientations, ages, genders and disabilities with respect at all times.

Our Mission, Vision & Values

Our mission is to make a significant difference in the day-to-day lives of our older clients who choose to remain in their home, by understanding each client’s unique care needs and providing home care aides who truly care about what they do to meet and exceed those needs.

Our vision is to create a caring and supportive environment where our clients reach their highest level of function, quality of life, and optimal ability at home; providing restorative care, encouraging independent behaviors rather than creating dependent behaviors, and preventing unnecessary ER visits and hospitalizations.

From Those Who Know Us Best

The Kleinfeld Family

“Thank you. My brother and Joel and I will never forget the care and friendship Maria had with my mother in her last month. She was able to pass on with friendship, support and dignity. Also, thanks for the care and compassion from Karen and Yuza.” – The Kleinfeld Family

The O’Shea Family

“Our father had a severe case of dementia and we hired CareAssist Services for their in-home caregiving. We lived out of state, so CareAssist was our father’s support, and for over 3 years they not only managed his medications, took him to doctor appointments, but also worked with him in memory care. Our father could be quite difficult, but never once did I worry about his safety or his care. I would recommend CareAssist Services to anyone needing this type of special caregiving.” – Scott O’Shea

The Welty Family

“Today, Terri reminded me that I had not informed you that we were moving my mother to Arizona. Terri’s last official day was yesterday, Thursday the 16th. Terri has been amazing. What a gift for my Mom and for my family. I can not thank you enough for matching my mother with this amazing woman. She has the patience of Job. And she was so accepting of my Mother and all of her issues related to her illness. My mother considered her a dear friend, never realizing that she was a paid caregiver. In addition, she gave my brother and I such peace of mind. We could never thank her enough.” – The Welty Family

Mark Tuerffs

“My mom passed away late this afternoon after a rough couple of weeks at the end.
owe you a tremendous thank you … for taking care of her with wonderful caregivers for a year and a half (Michelle Basco is a superstar!) … and for recommending Companion Hospice. I can’t imagine how we would have done it without them. The experience was beyond words. Thank you, again, so much … for everything!  Blessings, always ” –  Mark Tuerffs
